Before you judge me, hear me out.
For many couples the journey into finding their ideal wedding photographer starts on Instagram or Pinterest. These two platforms are our galleries to the world. For others it is all about Google and search terms such as “wedding photographers near me” or “wedding photographers in <insert destination name>”. When navigating through what feels like an infinite amount of fish in the sea, not finding prices of wedding photography services online becomes frustrating. Particularly, if there is a specific budget in mind.
I acknowledge that we live in a world of immediacy, with access to information quite literally at our finger tips. We have grown accustomed to finding out things as rapidly as possible to make equally fast decisions. And unfortunately, having to invest time contacting a lot of people just to find out their prices just to discover that they are outside of the budget is an uncomfortable experience.
If you read my previous post on how to find your ideal wedding photographer, you know that even before you contact people you should have a clear idea of your vision and what you want to get out of your wedding photography. Depending on where you are in your journey, you have invested time and effort interviewing wedding planners that can help bring your dreams to life on your wedding day, selecting your wedding venue, day-dreaming and designing your wedding decoration with your wedding stylist, choosing the stationary that brings the theme and personality of your wedding to life for your guests even before the day arrives. You might have also researched and tried on wedding dresses or suits from incredible designers, to find the one. So, why would you not invest the same amount of effort and careful consideration to find the person that will immortalise all the details, emotions and memories from one of the most important days of your life?

You might be thinking that if a wedding photographer doesn’t publish their price list online they are immediately unaffordable… But that is not necessarily the case. There are a lot of wedding photographers out there that do not readily share their price list online, yet they are in a medium / average price bracket. So, why don’t they do it?
The answer is simple: They want to talk to you. We want to talk to you.
We want to hear the excitement in your voice when you tell us about your venue and why you chose the date you chose for your wedding. We want to hear every detail about your proposal and how magical it was. We want to hear about your guests and why you’re keeping intimate, or why you decided to elope. Your wedding day is as unique as your fingerprint, your love story is one of a kind, and as the visual narrators of your story, we simply want to know you, so we can best capture the essence of you.

As your wedding photographer, we will be spending all of your wedding day with you. We will be there to guide you and support you in the months and weeks before your wedding, and we will be delivering the recollection of memories of a once in a life-time experience. So, selfishly, we want to know that we are right for you.
Will my final proposal change from couple to couple? Of course! And this is where us getting to know each other will help me tailor my services to your unique requirements.
Do I have standard collections? Yes. With experience I have consolidated three collections that I believe are most suitable for a one-day wedding coverage, with additional services depending on the collection booked. I take my collections as a starting point for any inquiry and tailor them as needed, whether it’s additional coverage, destination weddings, additional albums or wall art.
Do I have a starting investment for my services on my website? Yes, yes I do. I don’t want you to be frustrated with not finding at least an indication of what the investment will be if you were considering me to be your most passionate advocate and visual historian on your wedding day.
Will the quality of my work be any different if you book a smaller collection? Absolutely not. If you decided to book with me, you have seen the consistency and quality of my work, and I have fully committed to capturing all the memories of your wedding day with love, care, respect and compassion. My promise to you is to create the most comfortable atmosphere for us, allowing me to capture the moments within the moments, in a natural and graceful way, while you enjoy every moment to the fullest, and that doesn’t change.
Can I upgrade my collection after I have booked, or even after the wedding? For sure! Investments, big or small, should be considered carefully, and one of the most important investments you will make for your wedding day is your wedding photography. I want you to feel comfortable with your decisions and I will not pressure you into booking something that you don’t feel is right at the time. If a few weeks, or months after booking you decide you want to add something to your coverage, or to your deliverables, I’ll be more than happy to work with you to shape the ideal collection.
So the question now is: Am I worth your time? I am sure that if you reach out, you are worth mine.
