“photography is the art of observation...it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

great photos have the ability to tell a story that you will be able to relive forever

Your wedding day is like a powerful river, it flows unstoppable.

Everything you have planned for this day, from the location to the stationery, from the flowers to the music, every single details comes from a place of love and it shapes the flow of your story throughout the day.

I will honour your emotions in my work, embracing the rawness and simplicity of the moments-in-between, while curating the beauty of the most expected moments of the day.

I approach every wedding and every couple’s journey with undivided attention and care. This is what allows me to capture images that speak closely to you for years to come. More than anything, you will walk away inspired and in awe, with images your heart can’t ignore

“A good picture reflects the personality and emotions of the moment with authenticity. Add some gentle direction and finessing and that same picture becomes a unique work of art"

Maria Ruiz

POSED OR UNPOSED

The eternal dilema

For many "pose" or "posed" are almost a synonym of fake and uncomfortable, and nobody wants to feel uncomfortable ever, especially on their wedding day.

But wedding photography is about more than documentation and candid imagery. It is about finding a way to bet capture your connection as a couple with no posing whatsoever, perhaps just a little direction.

I believe there is a time and place for each approach. Because of this, I have studied under amazing posing and body language coaches to understand how our bodies work, but most of all to help you move in a way that brings out the best of you, while still feeling natural.

There will be moments during the day that are meant to be organic and unscripted. I will capture them as they develop and you will probably barely notice I'm there.

And for those moments where we are actively working together, rather than creating a static pose, I'll direct you with a prompt like "walk towards me while looking at each other" or "whisper on his ear what you like most about how he looks today". We will see what comes naturally to you, and if needed we will finesse it from there.

Most of the time, all it takes is a minor adjustment to take a picture from good to perfect.

“Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure.”
