HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HAVE YOU AS OUR PHOTOGRAPHER?

Every celebration is different and comes with its own set of unique needs. Because of this, I quote every wedding, elopement, and portrait session on an individual basis. As a starting point, my full service collections include full coverage from getting ready through to the reception, an online gallery where you can access all the stunning memories from your big day, and a social media optimised gallery so you can share the start of your new life with the world. Contact me and I can craft a more specific outline of your investment once I know more about your vision. That said, initial investment starts at £3,000

How do I secure my wedding date?

Once you’ve selected your date and we’ve determined your collection, I will prepare and send a photography contract for your review. I ask that you return your signed contract within a week of receipt to ensure your date remains available. Once I receive your contract and the 50 percent photography retainer, your wedding date is officially booked! The final balance is due four weeks prior to your wedding date.

What is your approach in capturing the wedding story?

I love being by my clients side from the beginning and have a hands-on approach to setting up a wedding day timeline—my goal is to ensure that you have the most favourable natural light for every part of your celebration. I prefer to help build the timeline together with your planner and designer to give you plenty of time to capture all of your desired portraits and photographs throughout the day with buffers to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience. I balance art directing, styled detail shots and portraits, and capturing the moments that happen organically through photojournalistic coverage. The end result yields an exquisite balance of people, details and emotion.

ARE YOU HAPPY TO TRAVEL FOR DESTINATioN OR INTERNATIONAL WEDDINGS?

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. Each image should have a place and a part of your story to tell, otherwise the images will become repetitive, and nobody wants a flip book for their wedding album. I strive to provide unique images for my clients with each frame I deliver. That said, typically I curate between 70-90 final images per hour of wedding coverage.

What is the usual turnaround time?

I strive to turn around the images to my clients as quickly as possible, while maintaining the impeccable quality my clients expect. The detailed delivery timeframe will depend on the services booked. Generally, wedding images will be available no more than 12 weeks after the wedding. Portrait sessions generally require approximately 2-3 weeks.

Does the online gallery include all the images you take or do you provide a limited number of images?

The final images I send as proofs and post on your online gallery are a curated selection based on content and composition. I only include the best quality images, any images I omit may include blinking, unflattering expressions, or undesired blur. All final images receive colour correction and exposure adjustments before I present them to you in your online gallery. I do not provide any unedited images, nor images that are not a true representation of my work.

Can you help us create a wedding album?

Absolutely! I custom design and lay out your album drafts to best narrate your wedding’s charming story. If an album is included in your collection you we will review a first draft approximately 8 weeks after receiving your images, and you will have the opportunity to make revisions. These may include swapping images, omitting or adding spreads. Once you have agreed to your draft layout, I edit the images for the last time and send you a final PDF to approve before proceeding to production. All the albums are handcrafted by European vendors held to the highest standards.

DO I RECEIVE COPYRIGHTS TO THE PHOTOGRAPHS?

Most of our clients won’t require full copyrights buyout. For clients who are extremely private and concerned about their privacy, I do offer the full buyout of copyrights to the images. Please inquire for pricing and usage restrictions.

DO YOu photograph anything else other than weddings?

When I am not documenting idyllic love stories I also photograph portraits and do some commercial work on commission. I find inspiration in all sorts of places and if I am the right fit, I would be more than happy to work on special projects. Please email me at info@ruiz.rocks for more details.
